Taguig City to open 5 new multi-story school buildings in preparation for starting face-to-face classes
The Taguig local government will open five new multi-story school buildings.
This is in preparation for the start of face-to-face classes now that the COVID-19 alert level in Metro Manila is dropping.
According to Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano, the said projects that are nearing completion include two 7-story school buildings and three 4-story school buildings.
The two seven-story school buildings are the Ciriaco P. Tinga Elementary School in Barangay Hagonoy and the Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School in Barangay New Lower Bicutan with an elevator.
While the four-story school buildings that include the Tipas Elementary School Annex Building with a covered court located in Barangay Calzada-Tipas will also be completed; Bagong Tanyag Elementary School Main in Barangay Tanyag; Capt. Jose Cardones Memorial Elementary School in Barangay South Signal, all schools are complete with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, electricity, and water.

“I am very happy with the results. All the credit goes to all the hardworking local government personnel who wholeheartedly performed their duties for the benefit of Taguigeños, ”said Mayor Lino Cayetano.
In his speech, Mayor Lino Cayetano said that despite the hardships caused by the pandemic, he chose to continue the projects of building schools for the city’s youth.
