The scheduled presidential and vice-presidential town hall debates initiated by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to be held at the Sofitel hotel in Pasay City have been postponed. This is after Impact Hub Manila, the Comelec’s partner in the Philippines debate, failed to pay in full for the venue.
Earlier, Philippine Plaza Holdings Inc. issued a demand letter. (PPHI) owns Sofitel in the Impact Hub to make up for its shortfall.
Under the agreement between PPHI and Impact Hub, the P20.5 million worth of venue will be paid in four installments from March 16 to April 20.
But, according to PPHI, Impact Hub is still short of P14.095 million after their check bounced.
The deadline to pay the Sofitel shortfall is until 12:00 noon yesterday.
Earlier, Ces Rondario insisted that he was the sole owner of Impact Hub Manila also known as Vote Pilipinas.
