Under the leadership of Bureau of Customs (BOC) District Collector Erastus Sandino B. Austria, customs examiners, appraisers, and officers from the Entry Processing Unit of the Port of Cagayan de Oro and the Sub-port of Mindanao Container Terminal undergo refresher courses on the assessment procedure of BOC.
The participants were provided with an assessment manual to assist them throughout the two-day discussion. Day one featured an overview of the following processes: Formal and Informal Entry, Super Green Lane, Provisional Goods Declaration, Dispute Settlement, and Protest. Day two focused on Practical Computation, Excise Tax, Incoterms, Conduct of Physical Examination, and Post Entry Modification.
Activities and exams were also provided during the training as part of hands-on learning, simulating real-life scenarios, and applying their knowledge in a practical setting. Through these activities, participants were able to develop their skills in assessing customs procedures, identifying potential issues, and making informed decisions.
Assuring full compliance with all BOC assessment-related policies and processes through the aforementioned training is part of Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio’s priority program to hit and surpass the target and curb smuggling in all forms.

The training took place last July 15 and 16 at the temporary office of the Sub-port of Mindanao Container Terminal in Tagoloan, Cagayan de Oro.#
