
To strengthen ongoing communication and coordination, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Tax Academy – Customs Institute (PTA-CI) held a productive meeting on 16 January 2025.
The discussion focused on assessing the achievements of the past year, particularly in advancing the skills and capabilities of BOC personnel through targeted training programs designed to enhance expertise in diverse customs processes, including participants from intelligence, enforcement, legal, assessment, passenger services, and operations of the Bureau.
Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, accompanied by Internal Administration Group Deputy Commissioner Erwin T. Mendoza and Atty. Marlon M. Agaceta, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Commissioner, conveyed the Bureau’s appreciation for PTA-CI’s efforts in continuously organizing workshops and training courses that have contributed significantly to the professional development of BOC employees. He further emphasized the importance of these initiatives in maintaining the Bureau’s commitment to excellence and efficient service in customs operations.
