
District Collector Alexander Gerard E. Alviar, along with his Deputy Collectors visited the Sub-port office in PEZA Cavite on February 18, 2025. During the visit, the Port of Manila (POM) team inspected the Tanza Container Terminal, Inc. (TCTI) and the sub-port office in PEZA Rosario headed by Engr. Elvin Maurice Mackay will assess the operations and the situation in the container yard. Representatives from Asian Terminals, Inc. (ATI) also provided a brief overview of the TCTI procedures.
Additionally, District Collector Alviar and Deputy Collector for Operations Atty. Gerard Turiano conducted an ocular inspection of the TCTI facility and discussed concerns about overstaying containers and potential improvements for the port’s operations with the ATI team.
On the sidelines, Deputy Collector for Administration Marilou Cabigon conducted a document review of the office to ensure compliance in preparation for the internal audit scheduled for March. In his remarks, District Collector Alviar expressed gratitude to the ATI and PEZA Cavite support personnel for their dedication and continuous collaboration with the port.
